A Brief History:

Arley David Norby, owner of Norby and Sons Moving, began working on moving jobs when he was just a boy.

His father, David Norby began, initially began moving families in Racine as a weekend job. Arley and his 4 younger brothers helped.  Word of their good work spread and one family after another recommended David Norby & his sons to their family and friends.

Before long, the Norby boys were busy every weekend.

Arley was laid of from Harvey Services during the recession of the 1980's.

It was at that point that Arley and his father David decided to go into business for themselves with the hope of also creating work for the younger boys.

Arley Norby bought his first truck in 1983 and in 1984 became a corporation.

The Norbys Today....

Today the company has grown beyond the weekend company created by father David Norby.

Most people in Racine and Kenosha area know of the Norby movers.

Our reputation tells it all.

As a family owned company we treat both our employees and our customers as family. 

Our employees take a great amount of pride in the work they do and it is their pride and loyalty that is carried through to you.

Third generation Nicole Norby, Arley's daughter, now follows in his and her grandfather's foot steps.  She runs the office and answers the phone.

Nicole hopes she will one day take over the Norby business. That is...  if Arley decides to retire.

Either way, she takes pride in and is very dedicated to her job and the name that her family has built throughout the years.

Nicole is certain her son Jalen Arley, will be the next Norby generation to work with Norby and Sons Moving Company.
